About Sahasrara:

At the crown of the head we find the highest and most subtle energy center, named Sahasrara. Sahasrara means” one thousand”, and it is an allegoric way of describing infinity.

A thousand-petalled lotus is experienced as the seat of soul. It can get activated only when all other chakras are healthy and pure. We first need to clear other six chakras, balance our subtle system and enjoy good physical and mental health. With the feeling of general well-being and continuous spiritual practices of meditation we may reach the top of the chakra system and the highest realm of consciousness.

The crown chakra takes us beyond the principle of shape, color, element, or sound. This center’s seed mantra is silence. Once we achieve complete inner silence, the sound Om, the primordial sound of the universe, can be heard internally. We can also chant sound Om in order to prolong the space between the thoughts and achieve complete silence, so we may become the pure consciousness and feel one with the whole of creation. Mantra Om in the middle of Sahasrara is symbolizing this connection to spirituality, detachment from illusion of separation and integration of the whole.
